This year Birdair, Inc. established a new sales company “Taiyo Birdair do Brasil” in Brasil, where significant growth is expected in the future. In October they participated in the Expo Estadio (an exhibition of stadiums and sports facilities) held in Rio de Janeiro, and are energetically operating business.
The establishment in Brazil is due to the expectation of large scale infrastructure construction in the region. Projects for public facilities such as sports facilities, as well as airports, railways, industries, leisure facilities, and accommodations, for hosting worldwide major events such as the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil and 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro are expected. Birdair has been conducting market research for several years, acknowledging the area and its membrane structure potential, leading to the establishment of the local corporation this year.
Currently MakMax group is participating in numerous membrane structure projects such as sports facilities, which include Olympic facilities, soccer stadiums, swimming pools, F1 circuit, as well as transportation facilities, commercial facilities, and Expo facilities. Last year Taiyo Membrane India was established in India as a local corporation. They have provided a wide variety of membrane structures, from large scale projects such as airport facilities for Mumbai Airport and Hyderabad Airport, New Delhi Airport which was renovated for the Common Wealth Games, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, to façade of office buildings and canopies for piazzas.
